  • Article on Seasonal Yard Figures and Decorative Woodworking Plans

Experience the fun of creating your woodcraft project with the help of these Seasonal Yard Figures and Decorative Woodworking Plans. The full sized Patterns are from Wood Magazine, the number one source of Time Tested Plans & Patterns. I know the Patterns are accurate, as I have used many of them as a woodworker building seasonal yard figures & decorative project and selling them at Craft Shows.

After you receive your woodworking plans, patterns and wood for your project you will need to transfer the design to the wood. There are two ways to do these. One is with Jumbo Transfer Paper were you just transfer the full-sized patterns to the wood. The other way is to cut the different pieces from the pattern and glue the pattern to the wood. I use rubber glue to glue the pattern to the wood. They do have spray adhesives but the rubber glue works best for me. With rubber glue you can pull the pattern from the wood. All that is left is to sand and apply the finish of choice.

Each Seasonal Yard Figures and Decorative Woodworking Plan comes with detailed step-by-step instructions, clear-as-a-bell illustrations and full-size patterns for curved and irregular-shaped pieces. Complete bill of materials and cutting diagrams are also included.
